When the Odds are Against You
When we face impossible situations, we can rest in the knowledge that we can trust in the God of the impossible (Matthew 19:26). While it's one thing to believe that God can do anything, it's hard to feel confident when nothing is happening or progressing. When things feel out of control, remember that God is always in control. But God is always at work in our favor (Exodus 14:1-21). When we face impossible situations and we need courage to face our fears, God tells us to not be afraid and stand firm, all while being still and trusting Him. It's easy to keep on the straight and narrow when things are going well, but when life gets rocky and difficult it's a little harder to stand firm (Psalm 46:1-3). The Spirit of God gives us the authority to live with courage and walk with faith. He invites us to run to Him as a refuge when things start falling apart around us (Psalm 46:4-11). There's nothing wrong with submitting to the One who holds the whole world in His hands. To put that kind of trust in Christ means that we have to know Him and His heart (Isaiah 30:15).
