What are you Hungry For?

The hard part about doing things the right way is that there are seemingly many interpretations. That’s why, to define righteousness we need to do so with God in mind. Righteousness is the desire to do things God’s way — the right way (Matthew 5:6). God’s way will show us the right way to love others, treat others and deal with what we encounter in life. And, isn’t it funny that we tend to run into obstacles when we start trying to follow the path He lays out? That’s when, more than ever, we need to put our trust in Him (Matthew 6:25-33). Our hearts desire God’s way when things get hard. It puts a hunger and thirst in us for restoration and healing (Psalm 42:1-5). He invites us to bring our heavy hearts to Him, and when we strive to do things His right way, we will find fulfillment. We will never be filled if all we do is desire what the world has to offer. Instead, we are blessed when we hunger and thirst for God’s ways.

Points To Ponder
1) Are there areas of my life where I’m not doing things the right way, God’s way?
2) When I go through difficult times, where do I put my trust?
3) What part of my life do I need to surrender to Christ?
