On The Beach With Jesus

Sunday, April 16, 2023

After coming off a high like Easter, there are things we want to see changed. However, we often find ourselves running into the same things over and over and again. We’re naturally wired to get frustrated when our expectations don’t get met (John 21:1-4). And when we get like that, we’re blind to the person of Jesus who stands right there with us. But no matter the circumstance, we need to remember that Jesus is still the risen Lord. We must look for God’s presence in our daily lives instead of His absence (Hebrews 11: 1-6Ephesians 1:18-19). We often wait for the spectacular, but Jesus just wants to be with us right where we are, regardless of uncertainty, regret and past failures (John 21:5-915-17).

Points To Ponder

1) Can you think of time when you wondered, “Where is Jesus?”
2) What is a part of your life where you thought that it was over?
3) Where in your life do you need hope to know that the story isn’t over?
