On Mission
It’s easy to get caught up in what culture deems appropriate — how we should talk, react, plan, etc. — but will we let that define us? Or, are we going to be changed by Jesus to live like Jesus? We can’t be spiritually formed on the inside and not do anything with it. We’re meant to live, act and love like Jesus (Matthew 5:13-16). What we believe in our hearts should flow into our actions, and because of that, Christians have a personal responsibility to share the good news of Christ’s love and grace with others. However, when we turn to society for guidance, we lose the identity of who we are. The greatest mission field is in our own backyards, and the mission we’re on means being bold enough to live out the Word of God. And while we might be on mission, we often get caught up in what others think/say, and we and lose our assignment. To combat that, Christians must develop eyes trained to see the God-given opportunities and have a heart of obedience, because once we open our eyes, we’ll see that the chances to share His good news are all around us (2 Corinthians 9:13; Philippians 1:12-14).
2) What can I do to develop eyes that see the opportunities God places in front of me to share His grace and goodness?
3) What prevents me from sharing with others around me?
