It’s Time: What’s Your Kuleana?

There are greater things ahead, and Christians are called to work together on God's plan (Nehemiah 2:17-18). We have a responsibility to build on that future together (Nehemiah 3:1-3). He's given us specific things and people to take care of around us, with specific gifts and talents to make it happen (Colossians 3:17). Sometimes, though, we know what we're supposed to be doing, but we just don't do it. We encounter distractions and experience fatigue — and all of those things keep us from our calling. The church as a whole is a gathering of believers, and we're all on a mission (Matthew 28:19-202 Corinthians 5:18-20). When we get comfortable or distracted, we forget that we're on a holy mission, we're not fulfilling our purpose to reach others for Christ (Colossians 3:1, 12-13).

1) What has God put in front of me to take care of; what is my responsibility?
2) What distractions am I experiencing that are keeping me from my kuleana?
3) How do I break out of my comfort zone so I can fulfill my purpose?
