It's Time: Finish Well

Finishing well is the key to achieving greater things. However, the enemy is relentless in making us settle for compromises, which keeps us from experiencing all that God has for us (Nehemiah 4:1-3). When this happens, we end up destroying ourselves. Don't believe the lies the enemy sets before us. We end up compromising when we forget who we are (1 Peter 2:9-12) — it's when we make choices and concessions in the wrong direction that weaken our God-given identities (Nehemiah 6:1-4). Compromise always starts with small steps that eventually turn into big moves. When we're faced with temptation, we can pray that God remove the opportunity and give us courage to accept the opinions of others so we don't end up in sin (Nehemiah 6:5-9). When we keep our eyes focused on God and what He says about us, we keep from compromising.

Points To Ponder
1) In what area of my life am I making compromises?
2) What lies am I believing about myself and my life?
3) What fears do I have about what other people think of me?
