Growing The Kingdom of God
A mustard seed is one of the smallest seeds in the garden, yet this tiny seed grows into a tree of up to 12 feet tall. Jesus uses the parable of the mustard seed to describe the Kingdom of God (Mark 4:30-32). God is not overly concerned with the kingdoms of this world, but He is asking us to see the Kingdom of God and be active participants in it (Matthew 6:9-10). To have faith even as little as a mustard seed. Sometimes our faith and our contributions can feel as small and tiny. We ask what difference can I make? How can God use me? If we plant our seed of faith and partner with God who loves and delights we will see God bringing His Kingdom on earth. God insists on building His Kingdom through you to your family, workplace, friends, neighborhood, and places of influence. He calls us to these places to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with Him (Micah 6:8).
