Faithful but Forgetful
When we’re facing new things, transitional times, we need to remember what kind of things we’ve come through. Which means to know where you’re going, remember where you’ve been (Joshua 3:4). So what are the things that helps us to remember and why do we forget? Recency bias can make present feelings overpower past faithfulness which causes us to forget even though we want to be faithful. There is power in remembering God’s goodness and faithfulness (Joshua 4:1-7, Joshua 4:20-24). This provides a testament to the power of God and what He has done in your life. This story needs to be shared to others, and the result of this remembrance is gratitude and respect (Revelation 12:11, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26). So what are the “Stones of Remembrance” in your life of when God was faithful? Share the story!
