Easter - Your Story Is Not Over
Happy Easter! We hope your Easter weekend was incredible as we celebrated the Risen Jesus. But the very first Easter was anything but happy. The Gospel of Mark tells us that the first Easter left the disciples confused, bewildered, and afraid (Mark 16:1-8). They were left wondering, “Where is Jesus?” We ask the same thing when our hopes and dreams are dashed against the rocks. The good news is that the story doesn’t end here. That God’s story is still at being written even to this day and that God’s power is at work within us! (Ephesians 1:18-20 & 3:20-21). This is the same power that rose Jesus from the dead continuing giving us hope beyond the grave that the story’s not over (Romans 5:2-5 & Hebrews 12:1-2). We have hope that the story is not over because of Jesus and the script of our lives is still being penned by the author and perfecter of faith. No matter what situation you are going through, because of Jesus’ death and resurrection, you can have hope that it’s not over.
