Dear God... Everyone is Doing It
The only constant is change, but our beliefs in what God says is right should not change because His Word stays the same (Hebrews 13:8; Isaiah 40:8). We don’t live like everyone else because we choose to follow someone else (Proverbs 14:12; Proverbs 12:15). Biblical wisdom brings us closer to God and sets us apart (1 Peter 2:9-10; Leviticus 11:44; Leviticus 19:2; Leviticus 20:26). Jesus tells us He wants us to be holy like He is holy (1 Peter 1:14-16; Romans 12:2). Don’t conform! Rather, be transformed. We must surrender every part of our life to Him — even our bodies (1 Corinthians 6:16-20).
Points To Ponder
1) Where am I making compromises that follow more of what the world says OK, than what God says is right?
2) What does it mean to be holy and set apart?
3) Am I allowing Christ to speak to my heart louder than the world around me?
