Cut the Past Away
If we want to be prosperous and successful, we need to be obedient to Christ all the time in all situations, regardless of the cost (Joshua 1:7-8; 5:2-3; Genesis 17:7-26). Obedience in the face of uncertainty reinforces the fact that God’s timing is always perfect. Obedience can be uncomfortable and inconvenient, but when we pull away from what God is telling us to do, we cannot experience the blessing (Joshua 5:4-8). The journey shows us that obedience determines our consequences, good or bad (1 Peter 2:9-10; Colossians 2:8-12). The best way to align ourselves with a life of obedience is to get into the Word of God (Hebrews 4:12-13). When we let God cut away the parts that shouldn’t be there, we’re left with all the best He has for us (Hebrews 3:12-14; Joshua 5:8-9).

3) What does God need to cut out of my life so I can grow?
