Changed by Jesus
We are changed by Jesus to live like Jesus. As we strive to be formed, transformed and conformed to Christ, He molds our hearts along the way (Galatians 4:19; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Romans 8:29). All of us have room to grow to become more Christlike, and changing to be like Jesus starts from the inside. Unless our hearts, thoughts and minds change, true change will never come about (Romans 12:1-2). Our hearts can become hardened toward others — or even God — when we become offended, not getting what we want or think we deserve. But when we surrender and keep letting Him change us, He makes our hard hearts soft and we learn to die to self so we can live like Him (Ezekiel 36:26-27; Galatians 2:20; John 3:3-6). Transformation in Christ isn’t an overnight occurrence, and most of us know that He continually works on our hearts throughout our lives (2 Corinthians 5:17).
