Metro’s Outreach Ministry
“Ke Alanui”
(The Pathway)
Our vision is to see a community transformed by the expressed love of Jesus in action. Believing that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (Jn. 14:6), “Ke Alanui” provides opportunities for people to discover the way to God’s plan of hope and salvation for their lives through “good works” that will “glorify [our] Father in heaven” (Matt. 5:16). Each pathway is designed to transcend cultural, socio-economic, ethnic, religious, age, and gender boundaries to lead people from their current situation to a new destination in Christ. Missional outreaches we currently support are:
Palama settlement
Partnering with Palama Settlement in a range of opportunities to serve the youth and families in the Kalihi and Palama neighborhoods, including sports, recreational, educational, cultural, health and wellness, and community building programs.
US Veteran’s Services at Kalaeloa
Supporting and serving our military veterans, together with the US Veterans Center at Kalaeloa, through prayer, Bible studies, community service and celebrations, helping veterans navigate their transition from military service.
Lo’i Kalo
Building alliances with other community organizations to support our natural resources caring for, cleaning, and managing the Lo’i Kalo in the Kapālama Ahupuaa.
Ala moana outreach
Providing weekly meals and the Lord’s Spiritual food – His Word – to the homeless population, to the “least of these” (Matt. 25:40), in the Ala Moana area every Tuesday from 10:30am to 1:00. pm.
