Church is a place we can be impacted by the Spirit of God through the Word of God with the people of God. It’s where we can express adoration for Christ, experience restoration and come together for celebration. When we come together in worship, it’s a collective weapon of victory, and moves our hearts to remember the grace and goodness of God (Colossians 3:16; Psalm 95:1-7). The grace of God meets us more than halfway in our sin, shame and regret. But even when He reaches out, sometimes our hearts are not open to His outpouring of love (Hebrews 4:12-13). Coming together also allows for a sense of community, and when a group of believers come together, they can make a positive difference in the lives of those around them (Hebrews 10:24-25).
