Healthy Families

God says family is important, and investing in a spiritually healthy family who loves God with a Kingdom mindset can help us achieve the best He has for us. What He’s already blessed us with is good (Deuteronomy 6:10-12). However, He always has something better, so don’t settle for what you have. God has more for you and your family for generations to come (Deuteronomy 6:1-3). We forget God when we think we are responsible for what we have, and we forget when we get distracted and put other things before God. When we forget, it often produces dangerous consequences (Deuteronomy 6:4-9). If we don’t stay true to God’s commands, we are setting our family up for failure (Deuteronomy 6:13-19). Therefore, the foundation we set for our families should be based on the Word of God and filled with the fruits of the Spirit (Psalm 127:1-5Matthew 7:24-27).

Points To Ponder

1)  What are distractions that turn my eyes away from Christ? What or who gets most of my attention?
2) What do I want for my family? Will I lift that up to God and trust that He’ll provide?
3) What foundation do I want to set in my life for my family? How will I start to lay that foundation?
